Selena Gomez releases details on when her new brand: Rare Beauty will launch
If you are one of Selena Gomez’s 185 million Instagram followers then you may already know that she has a new beauty brand: Rare Beauty in the works. Six months ago Selena announced that she would be launching what has since become one of the most talked about celebrity beauty brands to date! That’s a bold statement given the success of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty brand.
Earlier in the week Selena announced over Instagram that the rare beauty collection would be launching at Sephora and on the Rare Beauty website on September 3rd 2020. While the product line of Rare Beauty has had very few details released Selena has been very open and honest about her vision for the company. Selena is quoted as saying: “I wanted to make a brand where you feel comfortable. You know, I think people feel the pressure — I know I do — where you kind of feel like you need to look like everyone else or you should get this because that’s what everybody else gets”.
In addition to this Selena has made it clear that she wants the brand to have a positive impact and has therefore formed the Rare Impact Fund. Where 1% of sales will be dedicated to increasing access to mental health services with the hope of raising $100 million in 10 years.
