Nivea to Premiere ‘Skin Out Loud’ Series on Skin Diversity
Nivea has launched a new series called “Skin Out Loud” dedicated to promoting skin diversity. The series features real people from different backgrounds sharing their skin experiences and discussing topics such as aging, identity, confidence, and skincare routines. The diverse cast of hosts includes individuals from various fields, such as a drag race contestant, a skinfluencer, a model and author, and a non-binary transgender host. The guests, including a para-athlete, a travel influencer couple, and others, contribute to conversations that emphasize the importance of skincare and cover a wide range of topics related to skin.
The series consists of five episodes, each delving into different aspects of skin experiences. The first episode explores how people use their skin as a canvas for self-expression and focuses on gender identification journeys within the transgender community. Subsequent episodes discuss skincare routines for different skin types, the impact of aging on the skin, the effects of unexpected accidents on skin health, and the connection between feeling good in one’s skin and confidence levels. The conversations are engaging, authentic, and designed to inspire and educate skincare enthusiasts and curious listeners.
Nivea’s vice president, Tobias Collée, believes that exposure to diversity is essential for overcoming intolerance. The brand aims to reflect the diversity of its customers and communities through its leadership and initiatives like “Skin Out Loud.” Additionally, the series includes a special episode featuring the creators of the book “People of Deutschland,” which focuses on combating racism and promoting diversity. This episode, moderated by acclaimed TV host Milka Loff Fernandes, brings together various individuals, including the book authors, an Olympian athlete, a podcaster, and a former professional ice hockey player.
Through the “Skin Out Loud” series, Nivea aims to highlight the ways in which individuals’ relationships with their skin can be influenced by personal, cultural, and social circumstances. By promoting skin diversity and encouraging open conversations, the skincare brand seeks to create a more inclusive and accepting society.
