Mona Kattan’s Kayali unveils latest fragrance, Yum Pistachio Gelato
At an event in London attended by leading retailers such as Cult Beauty and Sephora, Mona Kattan, the co-founder of Huda Beauty and a beauty mogul, unveiled the latest addition to her fine fragrance business, Kayali.
The 12th fragrance in the Kayali range, Yum Pistachio Gelato is a 33 Eau de Parfum Intense that combines Kattan’s love of fragrance and gelato. The scent contains delectable notes of creamy pistachio gelato, whipped cream, roasted hazelnut, sweet rum, marshmallow, and cotton candy. The fragrance was created by Olivier Cresp, the “father of gourmands,” and his son, Sebastien, to be as close to the original dessert as possible.
Kattan was inspired to create the fragrance after a trip to Italy with her sister, where she discovered pistachio gelato, which has since become her obsession. She wanted to create a fragrance that would make her feel “yummy, happy, and irresistible,” just like the dreamy dessert.
The fragrance is available in three formats 100ml (£107), 50ml (£79) and 10ml (£25). The Kayali range is sold via its own website and via a raft of UK retailers including Cult Beauty, Sephora, ASOS and Selfridges. Many representatives from those retailers, along with press and influencers, were invited to the launch of the fragrance at 38 Grosvenor Square where Kattan hosted a “mocktail” event which also served pistachio ice cream, marshmallows, candy floss, bon bons and pistachio-themed canapés.
