Kim Kardashian files for skincare trademark with KKW Beauty
The move comes not long after the launch of Rihanna’s Fenty Skin Collection and following in the footsteps of her younger sister Kylie Jenner who moved from cosmetics alone into the skincare space in May 2019.
Kim listed the possible products under the new skincare brand as: moisturizers, creams, lotions, cleansers, body and face scrubs, face masks, facial and body oils to name but a few. The skincare trend is ever growing and yet another high profile brand moving into the space can only mean it’s getting bigger. As the market has seen a growth in the sales of skincare compared to makeup this year so far that explains why we are seeing so many new brands making a move on this lucrative market.
KKW Beauty became a billion dollar brand earlier on this year when Coty purchased a 20% stake in the business for a hefty $200million dollars, meaning the total valuation was decided at $1billion.
